BISHOP THABO MASENYA FROM SOUTH AFRICA
Matthew 13:24-30 – “Jesus told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. The owner’s servants came to him and said, “Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?” “An enemy did this,” he replied. The servants asked him, “Do you want us to go and pull them up?” “No,” he answered, “because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them…”
This is one of the important parables Jesus spoke to teach and build us up.
The scripture tells us of a man who went to his field and sowed good seed. But while the people were asleep, the enemy came and sowed weeds close to the good seed. When the servants wanted to uproot the weeds, the owner of the field refused and told them to leave the weeds because they might uproot the good seed along with them.
This is a profound teaching that Jesus gave us.
People sow good seeds, but the enemy sows bad seeds. No one leaves their house to sow bad seeds; everyone sows good seeds. But anything you sow, and then fall asleep, know that the enemy comes and sows bad seeds because you are asleep. Today, many people are crying out about their families, marriages, businesses, churches, and they don’t know what is going on. They need God to intervene in their lives. They are asking God, “Where did I go wrong?”
When you start a business, the first people you bring are like the good seeds you plant. As the business grows, you start enjoying it and get comfortable, and then you stop praying like you did in the beginning. When you sleep, the enemy comes and plants bad seeds, and from that point, things no longer work as they did before. A bad seed has the power to influence the good seed and even turn it into a bad one.
Your children are good seeds. Many of you raised your children with proper upbringing, but then you relaxed and slept, allowing your children to play with the wrong company. That’s when the bad seed grew inside them. Someone bad has drawn near to your wife or husband, and that bad person is influencing your spouse, causing your marriage to shake.
Maybe your marriage was good, but you became complacent and slept. That’s when the enemy planted a bad seed, and now the marriage is unclear. You’re wondering what happened! The enemy planted a bad seed in your spouse, and it has caused pain because, when your marriage was full of joy, peace, and love, you became complacent and slept.
Matthew 13:25 – “But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.”
How do you deal with the bad seed?
You must go to the court of heaven and present your case there. Use the Word of God and submit your case to Him so that He can handle it.
If your children are troubling you, go before the Lord through His Word and say, “Lord, You have said that my children will be taught by You.” I want You to teach them.
PRAYER:
I declare right now that every person who has risen like a bad seed against the Word of God in your life, let God arise and judge them now.
If someone has come like a bad seed in your children’s lives, let Jehovah arise and judge them.
Whoever has risen against your business, let the Lord arise and judge them. I declare judgment from the court of God; may God judge everything that has risen against His work in your life, in Jesus’ name.
Everything that has risen against your expectations, may the Lord judge it now in Jesus’ name.
Be freed from the bad seed in Jesus’ name. Let the glory of the Lord dwell within you.
Wherever you are, turn to God and ask Him to keep you as a good seed for your parents, spouse, family, and church.
