Matthew 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you.” This means that whatever you do, first seek the kingdom of God.
Whatever you want to seek or discover in your life, seek first the kingdom of God. If you want to start something or if you want to get married, seek first the kingdom of God. If you want to have children, build a house, or send your children to school, seek first the kingdom of God so that what you obtained may endure in your life.
For whatever you desire, its source lies in seeking first the kingdom of God. If you fail to seek that kingdom first, it means that whatever you obtain will be taken away from you.
If you want to have peace and happiness, eternal life, and a prosperous life, then seek first the kingdom of God. The first must come first; if you do not have the first, you will start with the second or the third. Any number you receive without the first will never be able to endure for you.
Without God first, or the kingdom of God, understand that there is a kingdom of darkness. In this world, there are kingdoms of light and darkness; light is what we call first, darkness is number two. Therefore, the choice is yours: do you want to walk with light or darkness? What do you want to walk with? However, my advice to you is that whatever you want to obtain or do, you must start with the first, which is light, so that you can add the second and third, which are blessings for you.
Matthew 6:33: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
If you do not have the first, anything you receive will be taken away. That is why the Lord Jesus said, “to anyone who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” Why? Because he started without having the first.
If your marriage began without God, it will be taken away no matter how tightly you hold on to it because it started without God.
Whatever you desire, God desires it too, so seek first the kingdom of God so that He can give you abundance in the things you want in your life.
In owning our possessions, there are essential things to consider. Ensure you observe the following:
- Ensure you are cleansed by the blood of Jesus (saved), Ephesians 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
- Be reconciled with God; make sure there is no enmity between you and God. Let God be at peace with you, and you be at peace with God. Ephesians 2:16 “And that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.” The peace of God will give you joy; you’ll enjoy reading the Word and praying, and you’ll find joy in the things of God. You’ll enjoy going to church and giving offerings because you have peace with your God. You don’t need anyone to push you to do something for God.
- You must be a citizen of Heaven; Ephesians 2:19 “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” How will you know you are now a citizen of Heaven? You frequently receive visions, you love to pray, read the Word of God, and you love to see people set free and saved. You will be bold and courageous to share and witness God’s news without fear or hesitation.
- Be planted and built in the house of the Lord, Ephesians 2:20 “having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.” When you’re filled with joy in listening to apostolic teachings and being guided by Apostles and Prophets, Heaven will mark you as highly significant in the Kingdom of Heaven. Psalm 1:3 “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” How will you be planted? You will always desire to listen to the Holy Spirit, wherever you are, and enjoy speaking in tongues, connecting with Heaven at all times.
- Be in the Spirit and present yourself where God is; ensure you live in the Spirit. Ephesians 2:18 “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.” You do not approach the Heavenly Father by weeping; no, but by being in the Spirit. Why be in the Spirit? Because you represent yourself in God’s presence.
- Ensure you can enter and exit to receive what you need from Him. John 10:9 “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” How do you enter and exit? When you speak in tongues, you enter; when you’re done receiving what you wish in the Spirit, you exit with the strength that gives you power to drive the devil out of your life. Remove the devil from your life and what you want to possess because you cannot possess if the devil is in your environment; remove him first. If you wish to own a big business, know that the business has strong competition, so you need strength to overcome.
- Make sure you do what is commanded, John 15:14-15 “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” When you’re a friend of Jesus, there is no secret you will not know. Ask, and He will tell you.
- Love one another; John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this, all will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another.”
- Ensure you make others disciples of Jesus; Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” This is the command given to us as children of God; once you fulfill it, you can ask anything and be given. Seek first, meaning you have obeyed His command, and once you observe, God allows you to be His Son’s (Jesus Christ’s) friend. From that point, ask anything, and it will be given to you.
