DAILY DEVOTION
With Apostle and Prophet Josephat Elias Mwingira -Efatha Church
1 John 5:14-15 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
When you go before God to pray, what do you think in your mind? Do you know that God will answer your prayers, or do you pray because it is your duty to pray? The Bible says “and if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked for.” If you know that God hears you then you will have faith that He will give you what you asked for.
Why have you asked so much but you haven’t received what you asked for? It’s because of the doubts you had in yourself. Before you pray, know what you are going to pray for. Before you act or say anything first, get an understanding of that matter so that when you go to do it or pray you can receive it.
What do you understand before you act? What you understand is what you will receive the same as what you understood. People do things without understanding, you find someone opening a shop because he has seen someone open a shop and getting many customers, or starting a business because he has nothing to do, it is better not to do it because you will not get anything, first get an understanding of what you are going to do before you act, and that understanding will give you to realize what you are going to do and how to do it so that it can bear fruit for you and not a loss.
