DAILY DEVOTION.
With Apostle and Prophet Josephat Elias Mwingira- Efatha Church.
Exodus 14:11 “And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?”.
The children of Israel had a character of complaining whenever they encountered a small obstacle, instead of calming down and thinking clearly. Many people even now see God doing great things before their eyes, you will see them rejoicing with shouts and applause. After a while, when an obstacle arises, they forget and sometimes give harsh words to the Lord’s anointed ones.
A person who is constantly complaining will suffer greatly, and if the character gets rooted in him, it will do him much harm. Complaining is a character that does not allow for forgiveness, and complainers always find it extremely difficult to forgive.
The Bible tells us that such people will be punished; Jude 1:15-16 “To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.”
Child of God, God’s blessings accompany the character a person has, so if you want to succeed in receiving His blessings in your present and future life, be keen with your character.
