BISHOP THABO MASENYA FROM SOUTH AFRICA
Exodus 3:7-9
The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them.”
God spoke to Moses, telling him to go to the land flowing with milk and honey so that the Israelite’s could inherit it. Many Christians are unaware that although God gives us promises and direction, whatever God promises comes with responsibilities and instructions to follow.
John 15:7
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
The Bible tells us that before you ask for anything, you must abide in God, and His Word must dwell in you. This means living in alignment with God by doing things His way, ensuring that you think like Him, speak like Him, and act like Him. Only then can you ask for anything and it will be done for you because at that moment, whatever you want is what God wants.
Many people want to ask for anything they desire before they live in harmony with God or allow God to dwell in them. As a result, what they desire is not aligned with God’s will. You must first abide in God and allow God to abide in you so that whatever you ask will come to pass for you.
If you follow God’s requirements, His promises will be “yes” and “amen” in your life. God is taking you to a land flowing with milk and honey.
In the inheritance that God has destined for you, there is someone already occupying that position. When God sends you to reign, you must understand that there are people already in possession of that place. When God sends you somewhere, it is often where others already are. When He tells you that He wants to make you great, it means there are already people who are great. When He says He wants to make you the best, it means there are others who are already excelling. When He says He wants you to own a hotel or start a particular business, it means there are people already doing that.
Why does He send you to occupy a place already owned by someone else? Because if the place is owned by someone who does not know God, their wealth is being stored up for those who know God so they can inherit it without any struggle. As a child of God, it is your time to possess.
God sent the Israelites to take possession of a land already occupied by six nations—the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. But God sent them there so that they could possess it.
When God sends you to take possession, there will be people in those positions already. He wants you to remove them from their positions and take yours. The Bible says, “The kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” In your possession, you must not be gentle with those who are sitting in your place; rather, you should remove them so you can take possession.
Someone must be removed from the position you desire for you to become what you want. Someone must be displaced for you to become what God has intended for you to be.
PRAYER POINTS:
- Pray to God for the grace to take your rightful place. Ask God to lift you so that your life has the value He intended for you.
- Ask God to help you remove whatever is standing in front of you, preventing you from taking possession of what God has destined for you.
I release the grace of possession over your life in the name of Jesus. The anointing to take your position is already on your life; use it now. Do not fear; remove what you do not want. Whatever does not glorify Jesus, remove it. The anointing is upon your life; it is your responsibility to take possession now!
