How does God want us to be?

How does God want us to be?

When we talk about the year of possession, we need to identify who the owner is. The Bible says, “The heavens, the earth, and all that fills them belong to the Lord.” If God is the owner, you must know HIM and be with Him to possess anything.

Someone else who can give you possession is the devil, but he is not the true owner; rather, he is a thief. The devil steals and possesses stolen things. If you belong to the devil, you may possess things, but you will be a thief.

The Foundation of How You Should Be

  1. God’s People Possess What Belongs to God
To possess what God owns, you must have God. To have God, you need principles and behavior that align you with the owner.
The character of any creature made by God must reflect God’s image. Therefore, anything created by God must have attributes and a likeness that reflects its Creator. You must resemble God. How? Through character. It is through character alone that you can resemble God.
  2. Character is Shaped by Principles, Not Just Prayers or Fasting
By living according to principles, you build the image of God within you. Principles are unchanging and consistent.

    • Principles reduce or eliminate failure: This is why disciplined people rarely fail or fall.
    • Principles cannot be changed: If you want to be trusted by God, align yourself with principles. God cannot trust anyone who is unreliable. Disciplined people are trustworthy.
    • Priorities are a foundation of principles: Without prioritizing, you cannot live by principles or discipline. Therefore, you cannot be trusted by God. You must set yourself under principles to be trusted by Him. The way you value your principles determines how well you are protected from evil. Live by principles to ensure protection.

SET PRINCIPLES AND STANDARDS IN YOUR LIFE.
Establishing standards and adhering to them makes you a person of principles. A great person does not emerge by chance but through a process. Greatness is a process set as a standard for living, followed step by step until greatness is achieved. Set standards in your life if you want to reach your greatness.

Committing to your standards and being devoted to them will make you a person of principles. These principles will produce the discipline needed to build the image God created in you from the very beginning.

Worship in Spirit and Truth

John 4:23 says, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”

God seeks true worshipers. Discipline will make you into the person God intends you to be. It is discipline, not merely attending church or dancing before God, that will make you resemble Him.

Do you have discipline? Have you set standards in your life as your guiding principles?

Declaration

“My heart and mind are ready to set standards and commit to those standards to become a person of principles in my life. People who reflect God’s character are those with value, those who set standards in their lives, and those who devote themselves to valuable things. They are people of principles who do not waver.”

It doesn’t matter how much you cry or fast; your life cannot change until you decide to change. John 4:23 says, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”

There are people seeking God to worship Him, but there are also people God Himself is seeking to worship Him. Who are these people? True worshipers. They bring glory to God. People with discipline and principles carry the glory of God.

Life Without Standards

A life without standards or principles leads nowhere, and you will remain an insignificant person. However, a person with principles and value always sets standards and principles first. Those standards and principles are what will elevate them.

To become a great person, you must not just leap forward, but set principles and standards that will serve as steps to elevate you. Over time, you will find yourself in a place of greatness. The way you add value to your life by establishing principles is how you bring glory before God. That’s why God seeks such people to worship Him, and after worship, God blesses them.

The Growth Process

When God sees you maintaining discipline through the principles and standards you have set, and as you prioritize them, God continues to watch over you and enable you to carry His glory. Day by day, growth occurs in your life, and you reach a place of greatness.

Let this message inspire you to set and live by principles, knowing that by doing so, you reflect God’s glory and fulfil His purpose for your life.
