APOSTLE JOSEPHAT ELIAS MWINGIRA
God’s thought for us is captured in Genesis 1:26: “God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness; let them rule over the fish in the sea, and the birds in the air, and the animals, and over all the earth, and everything that creeps on the earth.”
This verse highlights God’s intention for humanity. To achieve our purpose here on earth, we must understand how things were before we arrived. In this passage, God is speaking directly to us, not someone else. The day you grasp this truth and internalize it, the struggles and hardships you face will begin to diminish. You may experience difficulties in marriage, education, or business because you lack understanding. However, the moment you comprehend your role and purpose, everything can change.
Genesis 1:26 tells us that everything under the sun has been created for humanity. Everything you see, whether alive or dead, has been given to you, including wealth. So, why do you let these things trouble you? When you realize that God created you to rule on earth, you will receive what He intended for you.
The Bible states, “God said.” Whenever God speaks, it comes to pass—so why do we doubt that our words can have the same power? God created man in His image and likeness; therefore, we, too, have the ability to create and command through our words. Are you fulfilling your purpose?
Talking, speaking, and saying are not the same. God doesn’t merely talk; He commands. When you speak to someone, it’s often an exchange of ideas, but saying something is an authoritative command that brings about change. For example, if your business isn’t thriving, don’t simply speak about the challenges—command success into your situation. Many people speak about their problems rather than commanding positive outcomes, which is why they see little change.
In Matthew 6:9-13, we are instructed to pray, “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” To embody this, you need to understand and glorify His name, reflect His character, and implement the values of His kingdom in your life.
As you embark on your journey toward your blessings, be brave and courageous. Obstacles will arise, but your bravery will help you overcome them.
Why is courage important?
- Courage prevents you from fearing what lies ahead.
- Bravery stems from knowing the Word of God, allowing you to speak it with authority when challenges arise.
Whatever you desire is valid; it is now your responsibility to choose wisely. No one can stop you because you belong to God, and all that He has is yours.
Proverbs 8:18 states, “Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and prosperity.” Money and respect are your rights, so why don’t you possess them? It’s often due to a lack of foundational understanding. Ensure you fulfill God’s will so that you can receive all that He has prepared for you.
