Mount Zion is where people are made perfect

Mount Zion is where people are made perfect

Bishop Michael Kyazze from Uganda

Obadiah 1:17: “But on Mount Zion there will be deliverance; it will be holy, and Jacob will possess his inheritance.”

Zion is a place of perfection, a place of the new covenant, a place that has been completed, a place of joy, and a place where many angels dwell.

Zion is where people are made perfect, a place of righteousness; all who go to Mount Zion will be in righteousness because God is there. Zion is the place of the message of the new covenant, a place where the blood speaks good things; on Mount Zion, there is redemption.

In order for you to possess your inheritance, redemption must occur before anything else happens in your life. Redemption concerns those who have been captured and oppressed. Redemption is for:

  • Those who have been oppressed by diseases so that they may be set free.
  • Redemption is for those who have been taken captive, those who have been placed in situations where they do not belong, those who cannot go where they want to go or do what they want to do but are imprisoned.

To possess God’s promises in your life, you must be free from oppression and be redeemed.

2 Timothy 2:21: “Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.”

When you are saved, there are certain lifestyles you must leave behind to maintain the holiness of God. You cannot live like someone who is not saved by lying, committing adultery, and harboring hatred, and then claim to love God. You are a vessel of gold; your worth is great. Do not engage in things that will defile your salvation.

If you have decided to be saved, choose to discipline your body and rise for Christ. Your standards relate only to Christ; do not live a normal life just because someone else is living that way. You must live by God’s standards. Change your mindset and elevate your standards by living a holy life so that you may see God in your life.
