Preacher: Bishop Charles Kariuki, Kenya
INTRODUCTION
It’s possible that some things have happened today that were not pleasant for you, but as a messenger from heaven, I declare that this Friday you will rejoice.
Your Friday is blessed, you will enjoy it, and thank God for it.
DECLARATION
“Father, in the name of Jesus, I agree with Your Word that my Friday is filled with joy, filled with goodness, and nothing else. In the name of Jesus, I bless my Friday and begin it with great hope, knowing that my hope will not be cut off.”
ATTITUDE
If you have already been placed in your rightful position in God’s Kingdom and have recognised that position, the next step is to remain steadfast in it.
And steadfastness requires the right attitude, keeping your eyes fixed only on Jesus.
Hebrews 12:2
“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
DON’T SETTLE, KEEP CLIMBING
Don’t settle after achieving one success; behind every mountain are more mountains to climb.
Thank God for yesterday’s success, but prepare yourself for the new victories ahead.
Proverbs 4:25
“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.”
When the Bible says Let your eyes look straight ahead, it’s not referring to your physical eyes, but to the eyes of your heart, your inner perspective.
The power to move forward is in your attitude.
When you fix your eyes on Jesus, you receive the strength to keep going.
THE EXAMPLE OF THE FOUR LEPERS
2 Kings 7:3-8
Four lepers who were outside the city of Samaria asked themselves,
“Why should we sit here until we die?”
They changed their mindset and saw the possibility of living instead of dying.
They arose and went, and God walked with them.
Child of God, change your attitude from death to life, from despair to hope.
When you look to Jesus, you will find the strength to rise and reach what God has destined for you.
DON’T LOOK BACK
Philippians 3:13-14
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
The Apostle Paul kept moving forward because of his attitude.
It wasn’t only because of the anointing, but because his eyes were fixed on Jesus.
DON’T LOOK AT THE MOUNTAIN, LOOK AT JESUS
Don’t focus on how big your problem is.
Psalm 121:1-2
“I will lift my eyes to the hills, where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Your mountain is small compared to Jesus.
When you fix your eyes on Him, your problems become like grasshoppers before you.
2 Corinthians 4:18
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
The enemy may be as big as Goliath, but Jesus is greater than your Goliath.
1 Samuel 17:45-47
David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty…”
PRESS ON
In the midst of many trials, keep pressing forward.
Change your focus from the problem and fix it on Jesus.
2 Kings 2:9-10
When Elisha asked Elijah for a double portion of his spirit, Elijah told him, “If you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours.”
Elisha kept his eyes fixed until he received what he desired.
CONCLUSION
Your victory depends on your attitude.
Don’t focus on your enemies, problems, or mountains; fix your eyes on Jesus.
John 16:33
“In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
CLOSING PRAYER
“Lord Jesus, help me to keep my eyes on you.
Remove fear and negative attitudes from me.
Fill me with new hope and the strength to move forward.
Encourage me every day so that I will not be shaken but remain firm in my faith.
Thank you for the victory you have given me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
