The Team Of God Vs. The Team Of The Devil

Preacher: Apostle and Prophet Josephat Elias Mwingira

There are two teams in this world: the Team of the Lord Jesus and the Team of the Devil. Each team has 11 players, and in God’s team, the players are as follows:

  1. Love

1 John 4:12 “No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.”
When you have the love of God, it becomes easy to overcome the enemy’s tricks. God’s love completes and protects you.
• If you want to play in God’s team, make sure love is part of your character.

  1. Forgiveness

Mark 11:25 “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
Where there is love, there is the presence of God. Through repentance, you invite God, and His love empowers you to do great things.
• Forgiveness brings you under God’s covering and places you above the devil because only through forgiveness can you boldly approach God.

  1. Righteousness

Righteousness is the defender in God’s team; it blocks the enemy from scoring.
Matthew 5:20 “For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.”
• The devil fears righteousness because it represents holiness, and he cannot stand holy people.
• You may have love, but righteousness preserves that love. Make sure you are living a righteous life.

  1. Faith

Hebrews 11:6-7 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
• Faith allows you to see what is coming before it happens and brings what is in the spiritual realm into the physical realm.

  1. Boldness

You need boldness because the enemy is fearless; if you are timid, he will defeat you.
Acts 4:13 “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and took note that these men had been with Jesus.”
• Speak what you believe boldly; declare what the Word says without fear.
• Boldness makes heaven respond to your confession.

  1. Diligence (Hard Work)

Without diligence, you cannot prosper. Anyone who succeeds works hard day and night.
Proverbs 22:29 “Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.”
• Diligence is the key to prosperity.
Deuteronomy 28:1 “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all His commands… the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.”

  1. Sacrifice (Offering to God)

Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship.”
• Sacrifice opens the door to prosperity and divine favor.

  1. Mercy (Compassion)

Hebrews 5:7 “During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, He offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverent submission.”
• Show mercy to others. If you offend someone, seek forgiveness quickly. Mercy keeps you in God’s team.

  1. Prayer

Prayer is like the playmaker, the number 10 in God’s team.
Hebrews 5:7 “He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard.”
• Through prayer, you recover your family, your marriage, your finances, and your dominion.
• Prayer is the key to victory and restoration.

  1. Obedience

Acts 6:7 “So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.”
• Obedience activates divine growth and multiplication.

  1. Patience

Patience is the goalkeeper; it keeps you standing when attacks come.
• Without patience, you cannot succeed in any area of life, in work, marriage, or ministry.
• Abraham and Moses both endured, and that is why they became great.
• Be patient; what you are going through will soon pass because Jesus lives in you.

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Lord, I now understand that without love I cannot go far nor fill my heart with Your love.
    • Lord Jesus, teach me to give myself fully to You without self-pity.
    • When my faith begins to waver, restore it, Lord. Give me hunger and thirst for Your Word.
    • Give me strength and diligence in all I do.
    • Father, clothe me with righteousness.
    • Give me boldness to stand firm in my faith.
    • Lord, make me obedient to Your Word.

In the next three months, people who have never blessed you will begin to surprise you, even those who never brought you salt will bring you sugar.

A prayerless church is a dead church.
You don’t need millions to change a city; you alone can be the change.

Poverty is caused by a lack of earnest prayer. When you pray fervently, your life changes, your marriage is restored, and your circumstances shift.

Prayer is the key!
