Heaven’s Ambassador: Understanding Your Identity and Authority in Christ

INTRODUCTION

Each of us has heard people say, “You need to know who you are.”
But in the Christian world, this is not just a phrase; it is a truth of faith.
When you know who you are in Christ, you can receive so many things.
But if you don’t know who you are, if you don’t understand your position, winds can easily blow you away from your blessings.

  1. RECONCILIATION AND A NEW IDENTITY

God Has Reconciled the World
Our key verse tells us: “God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting people’s sins against them” (2 Corinthians 5:19).
Jesus came to remove sin and reconcile us to God.

You Are a New Creation

  • Once you are saved, you become a completely new person.
  • Isaiah 1:18 assures us: “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”
  • God forgives all our sins and makes us new people.

Leave the Past Behind
Many people struggle with their past.
The devil loves to remind you of what you once did.
But when you declare, “Those things are gone,” you are saying to Satan, “The blood of Jesus has cleansed me!”

  1. YOU ARE AN AMBASSADOR OF HEAVEN

The Role of an Ambassador
2 Corinthians 5:20 says: “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors.”
The Greek word here is presbeuo, which means “to be sent as an official representative.”

Example of an ambassador:

  • An ambassador represents his country in a foreign land.
  • His salary is not determined by the country he lives in, but by the one he represents.
  • He deserves honor and protection because of the nation he represents.

Your Citizenship Is in Heaven

  • You are not an earthly citizen; your citizenship is in Heaven.
  • Your economy is governed by Heaven, not by the country you live in.
  • The problems of the nation you live in do not define you.
  • In Heaven, there is no poverty, sickness, witchcraft, or demonic power.

Your Life Is Governed by Heaven

  • The car you are meant to drive is determined by Heaven.
  • The house you are meant to live in is determined by Heaven.
  • Your entire life is directed by the Kingdom of Heaven.
  1. HOW TO REPRESENT HEAVEN

Change Your Mindset

  • Start seeing yourself as a representative of Heaven.
  • Stop representing yourself.
  • Begin to represent Heaven in everything you do.

Walk as an Ambassador

  • When people look at you, they should see the mindset of Heaven.
  • They should see the way you dress as one from Heaven.
  • They should see the way you walk as a citizen of Heaven.

Pray as an Ambassador

  • Don’t go before God praying as a Tanzanian or Kenyan.
  • Pray as a representative of Heaven.
  • Pray with boldness and confidence.
  • Say: “Father, I am your son. I represent you in this nation. Let people see that I represent you.”

CONCLUSION

From today, decide to live as a representative of Heaven.
Keep in mind that your life, your economy, and everything about you are governed by Heaven.
Make sure everything you do represents Heaven.
When you understand this, nothing will rise against you because whoever touches you has touched Heaven itself.

PRAYERS

  1. “Father, I repent for representing my family for so long. Now I want to represent Heaven. In my speech, my walk, my thinking, and even in my budgeting help me to do everything with the mindset of Heaven.”
  2. “From today, Lord, I want to live as a representative of Heaven. Place your heavenly protection over me and give me the strength to represent you well in this nation.”
