Position Yourself in the Right Place

Preacher: Bishop Charles Kariuki – From Kenya

Introduction:
We who are saved belong to the Church of Jesus Christ; the Church is the only agent given the authority to demonstrate God’s power on earth. Therefore, the state of the Church is of great concern to God. If the Church is captive, the power of God cannot be manifested in the world.

Matthew 16:18:
“And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

  • The Church of Jesus Christ holds great power and is the only link capable of overcoming the forces of this world.
  • Knowing the Church’s power is one thing; possessing and exercising that power is another.

Leave the Wrong Place:

  • In Ezekiel’s time, the first church (the house of Israel) was in a valley of dry bones and did not follow God’s plan.
  • Now, the Church must be moved to the right place, a high place, with authority, seated in rulership alongside Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:3:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

  • The spiritual realm is the right place where the Church should dwell.
  • Here, every declaration we make carries unstoppable power.

Ownership:

  • The trials we face now are not meant to last forever; they are temporary.
  • When the Church matures, its inheritance is already prepared by Jesus Christ.
  • Maturity allows the child to claim the inheritance of their Father.

Mark 3:14:
“He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach.”

  • The secret to enduring in blessings is to remain close to God.
  • Ultimately, your future is in God’s hands; do not let go of Him.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

  • We do not only look at the visible, but also at the invisible, for what is eternal is what truly matters.

Ephesians 1:20-21:
“He raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.”

  • The spiritual realm is higher than all powers.
  • Here, every evil thing is under your authority.

Ephesians 2:6:
“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

  • Not only Jesus; even we, the Church, are placed with authority in the spiritual realm.
  • Here, no curse or power of darkness can defeat us.

Conclusion:

  • The Church carries the power of God on earth; it must be in the right place, high above the world, with authority.
  • We live in this world, but our offices are above, in the spiritual realm.
  • Staying with God is the secret to enduring blessings and inheritance.
  • This is the calling of the Church of Jesus Christ: to be above, to overcome trials, and to maintain its authority in the spiritual realm.
