• 1 Chronicles 4:9
INTRODUCTION:
The promises of God are “yes” and “amen.” God has given us a divine perspective to solve our problems.
Your ability to change your environment depends on your understanding of the Word of God.
The purpose of God’s Word is to see, correct, and instruct us so that we may do what is right.
The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16:
“All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
Therefore, the Word of God is not just a story; it is a guide for living rightly and knowing our position in Christ.
1. UNDERSTANDING GOD’S IMAGE WITHIN YOU
God created us in His own image, and that image must guide your life.
You are not in the image of the devil or of evil; you are in the image of God Himself, the Creator of heaven and earth.
This divine mindset must enter your thoughts so that you can live according to the position God has given you.
Do not live under a false identity. Recognize yourself as a child of God created to rule and have dominion.
2. GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE
When God created us, He did so with a specific purpose.
Genesis 1:26 says:
“Then God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
God gave us times, responsibilities, authority, and glory.
He did not save you without purpose.
He has clothed us with glory and honor and given us authority over all things.
Therefore, take your place! You are God’s ruler on earth.
3. YOUR DESTINY IS NOT DEFINED BY THE NAME GIVEN BY MEN
1 Chronicles 4:9 says:
“Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.”
Many parents name their children based on circumstances or experiences they went through.
But Jabez refused to live under the name that brought him sorrow.
The name or identity given by people does not determine your destiny.
Maybe you have been called poor, rejected, or useless but God calls you great and honorable.
The way people call you is not how God sees you.
Today, God is changing your name and restoring you to your true destiny.
4. GOD CHANGES THE WAY YOU SEE YOURSELF
Gideon saw himself as small and powerless, but God called him a “mighty man of valor.”
David was rejected by his own family, yet God chose him to be the king of Israel.
Likewise, you may have been rejected or seen as worthless, but God is about to restore you to your rightful destiny.
Those who once rejected you will begin to see you the way God sees you.
5. EVERY NEGATIVE WORD SHALL BE BROKEN IN JESUS’ NAME
Every word of discouragement, every false identity, every name placed upon you contrary to God’s purpose is erased today in Jesus’ name!
God is lifting you above sorrow, curses, and past limitations.
Your destiny is in the hands of God not in the hands of man.
CONCLUSION:
You are made in God’s image to rule, to possess, and to manifest His glory on earth.
Do not allow names, sorrow, or circumstances to separate you from God’s purpose.
Like Jabez, rise up, pray, and say:
“Oh Lord, bless me indeed, enlarge my territory, and let your hand be with me.”
God is restoring you today to your place of glory and honor.
PRAYER:
Merciful God, help me to know my position in you.
Remove every name, every word, and every curse that is not from you.
Give me strength to stand in the purpose you have given me.
Change my name, change my destiny, and guide me in the path of your glory.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
